A 16-year-old Pioneer High School student admitted in court Monday that he was responsible for spray-painting his moniker "Mole" at 11 sites throughout Ann Arbor.

Ypsilanti's Bike-Bus-Walk Week to encourage alternative transportation

Ypsilanti resident Bob Krzewinski was riding his bicycle on Forest Avenue in 2006, when he was struck from behind by a hit-and-run motorist who briefly slowed down and then quickly left the scene.

"I was out of work for five months," said Krzewinksi, who also is a member of Ypsilanti's Non-Motorized Advisory Committee. "I was going east on Forest about a block from where I live and I was following all traffic regulations, when a car hit me and gave me some blunt force trauma to my arm. I only had 5 percent usage of my arm for some time. ... Thank God for physical therapists."

The votes are in: Grand Rapids voted Beer City USA in a landslide

Garnering 27,000 of the approximately 50,000 online votes cast, Grand Rapids has been crowned Beer City USA for 2013, according to a post on AnnArbor.com's sister site, MLive. Ann Arbor claimed the 4th spot on the annual poll, behind Kalamazoo and Asheville, NC.

Beer fans in Grand Rapids organized a strong push to win this designator this year, with a Facebook page, beer coasters, even a YouTube video with a Beer City theme song by the Jukejoint Handmedowns:
