To the Editor,

Thank You! The 3rd Annual Tecumseh Thanksgiving Dinner was a huge success because of all your help.

We want to thank everyone who volunteered for the planning, spreading the word, setting up and decorating, donating food and money, baking, cooking, volunteering, delivering meals, serving, helping people feel warm and welcome, washing dishes, and cleaning up.
We greatly appreciate the generous support through donations from the businesses and organizations of Tecumseh.

Busch’s, Dawn Farm, Lev’s Bakery, Jerry’s Market, Wendy’s, Basil Boys, Rotary Club, Big Boy, St Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, Tecumseh Middle School, Tecumseh Garden Club, and the Tecumseh Herald.

We delivered a total of 85 outgoing meals to homebound and elderly individuals, Tecumseh Police Department, Herrick Medical Center workers, Herrick Manor workers, and Lenawee Community Ambulance drivers.  We served 75 meals at the dinner for a grand total of 160.  We look forward to seeing everyone next year.  Please spread the word!

The Community Thanksgiving Dinner Team

To the Editor,

On Thanksgiving Day our daughter put up Christmas lights on our picket fence as she does every year. Between Thursday and Sunday, half of them were stolen and the rest thrown in the snow.

We have taken them down for the season. We are sorry to do this.
We are also sorry that the person or people who did this have probably never read your newspaper.
