Why are railroad crossings in such bad shape?

To the Editor,

I would like to know why the railroad tracks in Tecumseh are in such bad shape? At each railroad crossing from Staib Road to Russell Road, and especially the main four corners, the tracks are terrible.

They need to be repaired.
Thanks.

Friends of TSO send thank yous for car wash fundraiser

To the Editor,

On behalf of the “Friends of Tecumseh Schools Orchestra” we would like to thank all of the wonderful people that helped make the “Friends of TSO Third Annual Car-Wash-a-thon” in September such a huge success!

First of all to Judy and Gary Hicks and all of the employees of Sudzy Duz It Car Wash…we couldn’t have done it without you...you are great!  A big thank you also to our great event sponsors – Kohl’s, Brindamour Photography, Carpet on Wheels, and The Tecumseh Herald.   To all of the TSO students, parents and friends that worked so hard that day…thank you!  To each and every person that came to get your car washed that day….Thank you!

The pledges are still coming in so we don’t have an exact total yet…but our total for this event is over $3,200.  Thank you to each and every one of you for your support.  With a community like Tecumseh…we are sure our dream of building an Orchestra room at Tecumseh High School  will come true.

Support helped make for successful football program

To the Editor,

This letter is late in coming, so I apologize for its tardiness. On Oct. 19, the Tecumseh Youth Football program had its award banquet.

I attempted to thank everyone who helped make it a successful year, I however, forgot to extend a thank you to a very talented young lady, Stacia Serafin, an 8th grader at TMS. She volunteered to sing our National Anthem. Stacia did a wonderful job and I would like to say thank you so much for a job well done!

I also would like to thank Busch’s for price matching chicken and donating water for our dinner. It is much appreciated, and without it, I am afraid the eating wouldn’t have been as good as it was. Last but not least, D.J. Martin for letting us use his building for storing our equipment, thank you.

I feel very fortunate to be living in a town that gives so much and without a second thought in doing so.
Thanks again to all who made this year a great one.

Appreciates well-wishers on mother’s 90th celebration

To the Editor,

In appreciation and on behalf of our mother, Irene Hahn, her four children wish to express our appreciation to all of you, near and far, who attended Irene's 90th birthday celebration at St.Dominic's Hall in Clinton on Nov. 7.

We were truly impressed by your well wishes, cards, flowers and most of all your presence at this event.
We appreciate the support we received from St. Dominic's Church and friends who volunteered their time to serve our guests.

And we appreciate the Indian Summer-like weather we enjoyed all weekend.
The memories will last a lifetime.
