Coaches thank parents, volunteers for Wrestling Club

To the Editor,
We wanted to write this letter to let everyone know how truly blessed we are with caring individuals and wonderful families in this community.

During this past weekend, the Tecumseh Wrestling Club hosted a regional wrestling tournament.  This tournament included wrestling clubs from over 20 different areas in southeastern Michigan. The event was held at the Tecumseh High School, and there were approximately 300 wrestling participants at this event.  As the Wrestling Club is not sponsored by Tecumseh athletics, all of the planning, set-up, running of the tournament and tear-down was 100 percent the responsibility of the Wrestling Club and their “willing volunteers.”

These volunteers consist of wrestlers parents, grandparents, friends, and countless others.   We wish to extend our thanks and gratitude to those who have continuously aided in the moving of wrestling mats from the middle school to the high school, setting up mats and tables at the high school for the event, working at the scoring tables, working at the pairing tables, working at the concession stand and admissions tables, selling t-shirts, feeding the workers and doing all of this (and more) with smiles and positive attitudes. These positive attitudes resonated through the entire season and the parents (and family members) of our wrestlers are, without doubt, the best group that any coaches could ask for. Their dedication to their children and this club are what have made the Tecumseh Wrestling Club such a success throughout the 2008/2009 season.

Beyond the parents and volunteers we would like thank several other groups and businesses within Tecumseh that assisted in making our event a success.

Support, participation lead to Dodgeball Tournament success

I would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2009 Tecumseh Dodgeball Tournament a huge success.  It took so many people to plan, organize and run the two-day event I cannot begin to thank everyone involved. I would like to thank the members of all the teams that came and played, you all were wonderful.  It was nice to see so many people come out and cheer on the teams and show their support. The 2009 Tecumseh After Prom committee appreciates all the help and support we receive from everyone.  Without you, we would not be able to give the kids a safe, fun place to go after prom.

Enjoyed presentation of ‘Boulder Faith’ at TCA last weekend

To the Editor,
After attending a performance of Boulder Faith on Sunday afternoon at the TCA, I felt compelled to express my enjoyment of that experience.

The play was very well done, remaining reverent to the Messiah, and at the same time, was filled with beautiful up-beat music relating the story of Simon Peter in a most moving way. I’m happy that I went.

My thanks and congratulations to all who had any part in the presentation! The three ladies who were doing sign language for the hearing impaired also deserve a big hand. May God be kind to each one.
