The Lenawee District Library will be showing the heartwarming film “Ordinary Angels”(2024). This movie, based on a true story, will be shown on Thursday May 9th from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. and at 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Ages 16 and up are welcome.

Family storytime is returning to the Lenawee District Library. Every Tuesday morning, kids will enjoy music and movement, as well as imagination exploration through a variety of stories. While geared toward younger readers, older siblings are welcome.

Britton Deerfield senior Ava Jones put her hands over her mouth in shock Friday at the Clinton Redwolves Throwers-Only Invitational.

Jones just achieved a personal-best discus throw of 92 feet, 6 inches to finish first in the girls division.

Zajacs, Bullinger make Detroit Free Press all-state girls basketball list

The Tecumseh girls basketball team had three players make the recently released Detroit Free Press all-state list for Division 2.

Tecumseh junior Alli Zajac was named a first-teamer, while sophomore Chloe Bullinger and freshman Addi Zajac were honorable mentions.

Clinton junior Mason Brodie swept the boys throwing events in the Clinton Redwolves Throwers-Only Invitational on Friday.

He had a first-place shot put of 49 feet, 1 inch. His winning discus throw was 152 feet, 3 inches.

Commission rejects gravel pit proposal in Raisin Twp.

A proposal for a gravel pit off S. Occidental Highway near Gady Road got the proverbial boot from the Raisin Township Planning Commission last Tuesday night after commissioners determined the applicant, Philip DeLuca of Lucky Strike Sand and Gravel, L.L.C.

Utilities project with Johnson Controls ok’d by council in 4-3 voter

The first steps in improvements to the city’s water system and waste water treatment plant were taken at Monday night’s city council meeting when councilmembers voted 4-3 to approve an agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) to assist in the process.

A celebration of Wendy Sue Sellers’ (Power) life will be held April 27 at Ivy Lawn Funeral Home on Daily Drive in Camarillo, Calif. Wendy was born in Adrian, Mich. on May 9, 1950. As a child, she enjoyed many adventures with her brothers, Rob and Alan, sister, Carol, and cousin Jill.

Carol Lucille Langowski, age 82 of Adrian passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home in Adrian. She was born July 2, 1941 in Manchester the daughter of the late Steven and Ruth (Rowe) Heselschwerdt.

Orchestra, chorus present ‘Classics Through Time’
