Government needs to set fair laws to improve health care

To the Editor,

When we turn to the government for health care, we can say God is dead in America.  Remember, the government does not operate on compassion, but on laws.  (Aside, who is the government accountable to?  Just look at all of the lawbreakers in government and you will see - it is whoever is in charge).

Why can’t the government just establish fair laws for how the Health Care business should operate (that keeps them honest), and let the people decide what they want?  In other words, just let God direct us in our own decisions!

Maybe we can’t handle that anymore!  If that is the case, I guess we need the government to make the decisions for us.

Last chance to sign recall petition is Saturday, Sept. 26

To the Editor,

Last night when going door to door to collect signatures for the TPS Board of Education recall, one man said, “I’d be glad to sign, and I voted for the football field.”  When asked why he felt the way he said, “It’s about democracy.  If you don’t want my opinion, then don’t ask me to vote.  We voted and the majority was ignored.  That’s just not American!”

Do you feel the same way?  This isn’t about a football field. I’ve been there... seen it... it’s very nice.

This is about democracy!  If you want to sign the petition and haven’t had a chance, this will be your last chance to do so.

I will be at the Farmer’s Market on the Boulevard between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. this Saturday, Sept. 26.  I will be located near Cunningham’s Vision Center.  If this doesn’t work for you, please call me and I’ll come to your home!  Thank you Tecumseh School District for the amazing support we have received thus far.  Dave Govro 517-605-5336

President Obama is making mistakes, he’s ‘far left’

To the Editor,

Facts Americans should know!

• A Lincoln quote: “Nothing is politically right which is morally wrong.” Someone inform our administration! Quick!
• ACLU publishes photos of our secret operatives! Our enemies say thanks!
• Washington, D.C.’s population is predominately black. President Bush provided 1,700 yearly grants of $7,500 each to poor black children to attend private schools where about eighty percent graduate compared to the public school’s thirty-some percent! Vouchers are being cancelled by Obama. Now many poor black children are deprived of a possible college education and better life! The children thank you, Mr. President, for spending our stimulus dollars on things like studying swine odor in Iowa with two million dollars!
• O.I.C. organization of Islam conference, a strong organization pressing the United Nations to enact an international law criminalizing Christianity! Penalties up to and including death!
• Reports tell us Obama’s people pay others to attend and disrupt town hall meetings, then call the patriotic Americans Nazis, Brown Shirts and U-Americans!
• Obama’s regulatory czar, Cal Sunsteen, opposes our second amendment, favors ban on hunting, wants 690 animals, etc., on endangered list, and believes animals have human rights! Also, government (Obama) gives him power to “tweak” (change) our laws! He’s way far left!
• During the presidential campaign Obama appeared on the nationwide televised “This Week” program with host George Stephanopolis and Obama referred to “my Muslim faith!” When questioned, Obama said it was a mistake! How can one misstate one’s very own personal faith?

Appreciates flowers and beauty on drives through city

To the Editor,

So many people in Tecumseh take a personal interest in keeping the city beautiful. So many times I have seen the water Lady going from plant to plant to see they are properly taken care of. She certainly should be recognized and appreciated for her dedication in keeping the plants thriving all summer for the rest of us to enjoy.

It certainly puts a smile on my face and brightens my day as I drive through town and across bridges to notice all those colorful blooms smiling out at me. Much has been provided in not only the cost, but in the planting by many.
God Bless to all.
