ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY CLEAN-UP

Hidden Lake Gardens:
Tipton, MI

Assist the Friends of Hidden Lake Gardens in picking up litter along the Highway M-50 corridor that fronts Hidden Lake Gardens. Anyone 12 years of age or older can participate. Children between ages of 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult. No experience is necessary, and supplies are provided. Dress for the weather, including closed-toe shoes/boots and work gloves. Pants and long-sleeved shirts are highly recommended. Meet in the Visitors Center parking lot.

Book Sale

The Lenawee District Library will have its monthly book sale on Friday, April 26th from 12:00 – 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday April 27th from 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Movie at the Library

The Lenawee District Library will be showing the 2023 film “Next Goal Wins”, which tells the true story of the infamously terrible American Samoa soccer team and their embarrassing loss of 31-0. This film will be shown on Wednesday April 24th from 6:00 – 7:45 p.m. and on Thursday, April 25th from 2:00 – 3:45 p.m.

Budgeting 101

The Lenawee District Library and TLC Community Credit Union are partnering up to present a budgeting 101 program at the library on Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 19th at 2:00 p.m. This program will provide attendees easy but helpful tips on the best way to design a budget that works for them and more importantly, how to stick with it, which can sometimes be the hardest part.

Meal Budgeting for the Family

Vanessa Armstrong of the MSU Extension will be presenting a “Meal Budgeting for the Family” program at the Lenawee District Library on Wednesday, April 17th at 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. The presentation will teach attendees how to best utilize their budget at the grocery store when it comes to cooking for the family.

Let’s Go Birding! With Greg Bodker

Birding enthusiast and award winning photographer Greg Bodker is bringing his program. “Let’s Go Birding” to the Lenawee District Library. During the program, Greg will provide information on how to get started with birdwatching, including the best equipment, field guides, and locations to visit in Lenawee County. The program is for ages 16 and up
