To the Editor,I am a strong supporter of the Tecumseh District Library. As a lifelong community member, parent of three Tecumseh Public School students, and a kindergarten teacher in our district, I want to encourage our community to be aware of the upcoming election and the importance of voting YES on both proposals. The Tecumseh District Library offers more than just checking books out to children. The library meets the needs of all community members with services such as: story time for children with Mrs.

‘A vote for the library is a bargain’

To the Editor,I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone who can to vote for the Tecumseh District Library Millage on May 7. My family lived in Tecumseh from 1999 to October 2010 and I had the privilege of working at the library during that time. I know, first hand, how hard the staff, the Library Board, and the Friends of Tecumseh District Library work to provide the stellar services and programming to the community. My husband and I now live in Holland, MI, and are fortunate again, to use an excellent library.

We visited the library often, and I remember the joy of selecting books to take home.I have been a volunteer at the Tecumseh District Library for several years and it has proven to be an enjoyable and educational experience. I am impressed by the dedication and loyalty shown by the library employees. The knowledgeable and friendly staff is always eager to answer patrons’ questions to help make their visit worthwhile.

Commends the Tecumseh Police Department

To the Editor,Contrary to some people’s beliefs, the Tecumseh Police Department is here to protect and serve, not just arrest people. A couple of weeks back, it was a very cold day and a patrol car pulled up to a friend’s house I was at. They found a little boy three or four years old wandering down the street without a coat. My friends and I started searching the area for the parents. The officer at the time was making the little boy as calm and being as friendly as they could be. They had the little boy wrapped up in the officer’s coat. That sight just caught my heart.
