The Tecumseh School Board met on March 12 to review applicants for the superintendent position. Out of 23 applicants, four candidates were chosen to be interviewed. The board is being assisted in the search process by the Michigan Association of School Boards.

Hubert Sylvester Konczal, age 87, died peacefully on March 11, 2024, at his home in Willoughby Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Schmitz) of 42 years; children, Lynn (Jeffrey) Nutting, Derick (Jennifer) Mann, Bryan (Dawn) Mann. His greatest pride are his seven grandchildren.

Jeffrey Lee Stewlow, 57, of Clinton, Mich., lost his battle with ALS on March 10, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Jeff was born on February 1, 1967 in Tecumseh, Mich. to the late Harold Leslie Stewlow and Barbara Jean (Steele) Stewlow, she survives.

Tecumseh and Clinton wrestlers advanced to the Michigan Youth Wrestling Association individual state meet, which takes place on March 21-24 at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo.
