As the outreach coordinator for the Lenawee Humane Society (LHS), Keelii Regalado has her hands full promoting four-legged friendship. Getting the word out about the shelter and its many programs is a task that requires staff, volunteers, and community support.

Wayne H. Wright, age 78 of Jasper, Mich., died August 19, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. He was born December 12, 1937 in Adrian, Mich., to Harold and Carolyn (Knierm) Wright. On December 22, 1983 he married Peggy Smith and she survives.

John Johnson, communications director of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), said on Friday, Aug. 19, that several member schools violated its varsity football rules and had to cancel pre-season scrimmages against opposing teams. Tecumseh was one of those schools.

During the past two summers, our city has failed to maintain the fountain at Adams Park. In lieu of maintaining the fountain, it appears that our city has been cultivating a giant wasp nest in one of the trees as an alternative.

Gary Allen Furgason, age 61, passed away on August 16, 2016, surrounded by his family at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on October 11, 1954 in Tecumseh, the son of Edward and Beatrice (Rarrick) Furgason.
