The Fifth Annual Acres of Fun 5k Run for Tecumseh Acres Elementary has been set for Saturday, April 30.
Over the past four years the event has raised just over $14,400 (after expenses) and placed new equipment on the school’s playground. Cherie Lige, the event director, said the coordinators were able to keep expenses at approx 25 percent of funds raised each year and all the sponsorship and supplies used are kept in county if not within Tecumseh.
The cost to register the day of the event is $20. The race is set to begin at 8:30 a.m., in front of Tecumseh Acres Elementary. Call 424.8269 for more information.
