Tribe’s boys place third

Tecumseh’s varsity boys golf team placed third at Adrian’s Invitational on Monday, April 9, at the Lenawe Country Club.

Bobby Thomas led the Indians with a low round of 81 to finished seventh overall individually. Tecumseh’s Joe Forest carded 83, Collin Smith, 86, Hunter Cadmus, 93 and Zach Horn, 94.

Tecumseh coach Kevin Osworth said high winds and cool tempratures proved to be a strong factor in the above average high scores for all 10 teams participating in the event.

Clinton remains undefeated

Clinton’s varsity girls soccer team traveled to Jackson Christian for a match on Monday, April 9 and finished in a 0-0 tie.

Quincy Kittle made 14 saves in net for Clinton (0-0-2). Coach Ben Murray credited Melissa Northrop and Justine Jablonski with intense defense, which forced Jackson Christian to take shots at the goal from a distance for the majority of the game.

Natalie Hayes and Anna Kersey sparked the offense for Clinton, according to Murray.
The Redskins play next at Onsted on Friday.
