Until April of this year, no complaints had been made public about the city’s trash collections. It was only when a proposal to change to using tote containers, made by Stevens Disposal, that suddenly there were issues.

I would like to thank the landowners that signed to lease their land to the solar company in Macon Township. The earth needs renewable energy in a big way. We need to do something about the global warming and reduce our carbon dioxide emissions now.

I am quite disturbed over the letters from Mr. Swift and Mr. Hodgman that the Herald chose to publish in last week’s edition. These letters are from two citizens who portray our elected officials in a very biased and unbalanced manner and are obviously politically motivated.
