‘A vote for the library is a bargain’

To the Editor,I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone who can to vote for the Tecumseh District Library Millage on May 7. My family lived in Tecumseh from 1999 to October 2010 and I had the privilege of working at the library during that time. I know, first hand, how hard the staff, the Library Board, and the Friends of Tecumseh District Library work to provide the stellar services and programming to the community. My husband and I now live in Holland, MI, and are fortunate again, to use an excellent library. We visit the library weekly but I still miss all my “library friends and family” at the Tecumseh District Library. I met and learned to appreciate the whole community of Tecumseh at TDL. It felt like home to me and it seemed that many other people felt the same way. So, I would like to know that my former home is safe, secure, and still serving the community of Tecumseh. As my husband says, “A vote for the library is a bargain!”Christina DeConinckHolland, Mich.
