‘Spooktacular’ benefit helps raise over $5,800 for TSO program

To the Editor,The Friends of Tecumseh Schools Orchestra would like to thank local area businesses and residents for their generosity and support of our fundraising efforts during our 6th Annual “Spooktacular” Silent Auction. Local businesses and residents donated over 120 goods and services that were included in this year’s auction event. The auction and dessert extravaganza was held October 19, 2013 at the Tecumseh High School Cafetorium. Over 90 people attended the auction, making it a huge success and raising over $5,800 to help The Friends of TSO work toward our goal of a Performing Arts Center at the high school.Performances throughout the night by Tecumseh strings students both past and present were a major highlight of the evening and much appreciated and enjoyed by all.A special thanks goes out to all of the volunteers who worked to make this event a success; without this help it would not have been possible. The committee members did an outstanding job assuring our patrons had a wide variety of goods and services available to bid on during the evening as well as a large selection of delicious desserts and appetizers to partake of during the event.Again, thank you all for supporting the efforts of the Friends of Tecumseh Schools Orchestra and for your continued dedication and support to our students.Deborah WilkersonChair, Friends of TSO
