Anna A. Brown

Anna A. Brown, age 86, of Tecumseh, died December 4, 2016. Anna was born in Tecumseh on October 24, 1930 to Alfred Lloyd and Lois C. Aebersold.

She lived in Tecumseh for most of her life, spending time in East Lansing when her husband was a student at MSU.

While in high school she met William E. Brown and they married on September 6, 1949. They had a very happy life together. Regrettably, it was shortened by his death in 1975, also, preceding her were her parents and one grandchild, Kyle.

She attended U of M and Siena Heights studying French, art and religious studies. She had an independent personality. Pursuing her interests led her to studying art in Georgia and French in Quebec. A trip to France with some of her children and grandchildren was a cherished adventure. This year’s Thanksgiving with 40 family members was a special time.  Spending time with her family was important to her.

In the past she was active at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church as a lay reader and senior warden.

Anna is survived by her brothers, Fred Aebersold and his wife, Dee, and Gerald Aebersold, both of Michigan; daughters, Karen Moon and husband Bob of Williamston and Lorrie Mensing and husband Henry of Tecumseh; sons, Ken Brown and wife Pat of Harrison, Curt Brown and wife Pam of Tecumseh and Karl Brown and wife Connie of Tecumseh. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or services. The family will have a private burial.

The family would like to sincerely thank Herrick Hospital, Hospice of Lenawee and Tecumseh Place for the care and kindness given to our mother.

Memorial suggestions would be to Hospice of Lenawee and the Tecumseh Service Club, Tecumseh, Mich.

Messages to the family may be made online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
