Area businesses support CISTA’s hygiene education program

To the Editor,Communities In Schools of the Tecumseh Area (CISTA) provides programs that support specific needs of students within Tecumseh Public Schools. In September, Tecumseh Acres third and fourth grade students heard about physical and oral hygiene practices: proper hand washing, oral hygiene, and the importance of regular bathing and wearing clean clothes. Special thanks to area businesses that donated hygiene items for the students to take home and use: Dr. Ronny Hourani, Dr. Scott M. Doman, Great Lakes Family Dental Group, and Walgreens of Tecumseh. Additional thanks goes out to the high school students that volunteered for our ABC Refresher program in August. During the week long program, high school students assisted the site coordinators by helping first grade students refresh and practice reading skills. The enthusiasm and dedication of Marlena, Matt R., Matt H., Alex, Jessica, Victoria, Sarah, Brianne, and Katie is greatly appreciated!Rhonda TinsleyLisa KirbyCISTA Site Coordinators
