Arthur “Art” Neibarger

Arthur “Art” Neibarger, age 75, of Tecumseh, passed away peacefully at home, with his wife at his side on December 22, 2016, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born in Muskegon, Mich., on June 23, 1941, the son of the late Harold E. and Flora Ellen (LaLone) Neibarger. Art married the former Mary Jane Rork on August 25, 1962 at Temple Methodist Church, Muskegon Heights, Mich.

Art was a retired Engineering Manager at Ford Motor Co. He loved all things Ford, especially trucks and Mustangs. He enjoyed the three years living and working near Toronto, Canada, in a joint venture for Ford Motor Co. He was alumni of Michigan State University and a Spartan for life. He enjoyed cross country skiing, biking, hiking, golf (sort of), photography, traveling the country in his R.V. and building and fixing things. He and Mary loved their winters in Naples, Fla., and summers in Ludington at Poncho’s Pond. Art had a very unique sense of humor which everyone loved. Most of all Art cherished his family and spending time with them.

Art is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary; son, Eric (Debra) Neibarger of Caledonia, Mich.; his daughter, Susan (Ron) McLennan of Gregory, Mich.; grandchildren, Ben and Mallory Neibarger and Spencer and Jack McLennan; his sister, Dawn Hosko of Muskegon, Mich.; and his beloved cat, Tedrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold J. Neibarger.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
