Bad weather fails to keep loyal blood donors from attending drive at Nazarene Church

To the Editor,In the March 12 Herald, I read about the blood drives the American Red Cross has had to cancel due to cold, ice/snow, and their urgent plea for people to give blood.I have a blood drive every other month at the Tecumseh Church of the Nazarene, and have done this for ten years. On March 3, I had my regularly scheduled blood drive. In spite of the weather (freezing rain) and working with half the usual Red Cross staff (Those coming from Lansing couldn’t make it.), my faithful and loyal donors started coming through the door. I am always overwhelmed and humbled by their dedication. You see they really understand! They’re giving up a couple hours of their lives, to touch/save the lives of others.Thank you my dear friends. May God bless you!Brenda RebottaroTecumseh
