Barbara Jean VanTuyle

Barbara Jean VanTuyle, age 81, of Clinton, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2015, at Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh. She was born June 3, 1934, in North Adams, Michigan, to Ethel Jane and Wesley Parker Loyd. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who devoted her life to her family. She married David Kittle VanTuyle on August 23, 1958. He preceded her in death November 13, 1979.She is survived by six children, Karie (Les) Partington, of Fort Myers, Fla.; Bill VanTuyle of Tecumseh; Beth (Terry) Yarmak of Hartland; John VanTuyle of Tecumseh; Jim (Christina) VanTuyle of Tipton; and Tom (Monica) VanTuyle of Clinton. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Nicholas David Wobrock, David Lyndon VanTuyle, Evan Michael Wobrock, Benjamin Wesley VanTuyle, Loyd E. David VanTuyle, Claire Nicole Yarmak, Adam Michael VanTuyle, Jacqueline Kate Yarmak, Sarah Rose VanTuyle, Jack Thomas VanTuyle, Joseph Scott Yarmak, Stephen Gabriel VanTuyle, Isabella Ryan VanTuyle, Morgan Marie VanTuyle, Ava Raquel VanTuyle, and one great-grandchild, Anna May VanTuyle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband and a sister, Joyce I. Jacobs.Funeral services were held for Barbara on Monday, Sept. 14, 2015, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Clinton with interment at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
