Betty L. Faust

Betty L Faust, 89, passed away on September 14, 2017. She was born November 2, 1927 in Tecumseh, Mich. She graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1945 and Cleary College in 1946. She married Carl W. Faust on May 25, 1946. They lived their married life first on Holloway Road, Britton, then their farm on Centennial Road, Tecumseh, then to the Holloway Road farm. Carl preceded Betty in death on October 8, 1991.

After a fall, breaking both bones in her ankle on February 2, 2015, Betty was cared for by her daughter, granddaughter and their families until falling and breaking both wrist bones and after rehab, moving to The Villas at Sunset Bay Memory Care in New Port Richey, Fla.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Rex) Armstrong of New Port Richey, Fla.; granddaughter, Leigh (Evan) DeVoe of New Port Richey; great-granddaughter, Jamie; great-grandson, Taylor; sister-in-law, Julia Jewell of Glenview, Ill., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael Sisson II on July 10, 2016; her brother, Charles Robert “Bob” Jewell in 1986; and her parents, William Jewell in 1968 and Blanche Jewell Filter in 2000.

A memorial service will be on September 27 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 302 N. Maumee St., Tecumseh, Mich., with Pastor Philip Krieger officiating. Visitation will follow at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Tecumseh, Mich.
