Bonnie J. West
Bonnie J. West, age 73, of Tecumseh, passed away January 10, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Bonnie was born May 15, 1940 in Tecumseh, Mich., the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Marsh) Currier. On November 15, 1958 she married Wendell West in Tecumseh and he survives. She worked for many years at Peerless Gear in Clinton and then became very involved working as a volunteer for Herrick Hospital and was a member of the Herrick Hospital Auxiliary.In addition to her husband, Wendell, Bonnie is survived by her children, Linda West Cousino (John Hollis), Wendell C. West and Wendy West (Jack) Mitchell; grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Erin, Nichole, Justin, John, Megan and Kody; 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Tiffany Mitchell and great granddaughter, Destiny Cousino Fox. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation was from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
