Caroline Mitchell Fraumann

Jane Caroline Mitchell Fraumann, age 89, formerly of Tecumseh and Clinton, died Monday, April 1, 2013 in Naperville, Ill. She was born December 25, 1923 in Port Huron, Mich., the daughter of Lee V. and Gladys (Tyson) Phibbs. She married Clyde Mitchell January 18, 1942 and he preceded her in death December 7. 1989. She married Harlin Fraumann October 19, 1991 and he preceded her in death December 2, 2006.Caroline was a 1941 graduate of Tecumseh High School and a past member of the Southern Michigan Hookcrafters, The Questers, The Clinton Woman’s Club and St. John's Episcopal Church, Clinton. She was retired from the State of Michigan.Caroline was a sweet and dear woman, always had a smile on her face and possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Caroline was a talented rug hooker and the items she made over the years were true works of art. We are grateful to have had her for so long in our lives; she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.Caroline is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Noel) Kohl of Plainfield, Ill; son, James (Ruth) Mitchell of Farmington Hills, Mich; grandchildren, Eric Kohl, Alisa Carlin, Elizabeth Wooley and Paul Mitchell and ten great grandchildren.In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Martin and Lee Herbert Phibbs and her beloved granddaughter, Laura Kohl Wolson.Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, Clinton, Mich., with Reverend Susie Shaefer officiating. A private burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 122 E.
