Chuck C. Allen

Chuck C. Allen age 89 of Durand, passed away from complications of congestive heart failure and stroke, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at The Lodge of Durand. He was born June 16, 1923 in Midian, Kan., the son of Roscoe and Gertrude (Kiefer) Allen.Chuck was a civilian working for the government as a Machinist in Honolulu, Hawaii during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Tecumseh Products Company as a Senior Project Engineer for 26 years.Chuck is survived by daughters, Carol (Bob) Smith and Sue (Tom) Popma, former spouse, Mary Margaret Schwab-Allen, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his second wife, Dorothy V. Allen; son, Jack Allen, two sisters, Mildred Allen and Edras Gessner, and both of his parents.A memorial service will take place on December 27, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at the Lodge of Durand, 8700 Monroe Rd.
