Clinton “Clint” McNett

Clinton “Clint” McNett, age 84 of Brooklyn died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born September 15, 1930 in Detroit to Clinton and Myrtle (Colber) McNett. On February 18, 1950 he married Delores Vance in Jeffersonville, Ind., and she survives. He was a member of the Marine Corps Reserves. Clint retired from the Wayne County Road Commission after 30 years. He was a member of the Hit and Miss Engine Club in Adrian and the National Rifle Association.Clint loved tractors and collecting antique cars.In addition to his wife, Delores, Clint is survived by two daughters, Connie Nivison of Naples, Fla., and Shirley (Gene) Emond of New Boston; a son, Mark (Marlene) McNett of Brooklyn; two brothers, Kenneth McNett of Wayne and Phillip (Elizabeth) McNett of Harrison; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and his donkey, Truman. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Carol Kessler, a granddaughter, Vanessa Kessler, brother, Emery McNett, a son-in-law, Dr. James Nivison and his canine companion, Laddi.Funeral services for Clint will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Paul McNett officiating. Burial will be in Sanford Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com.
