Clinton's varsity boys basketball team records loss
A lackluster third quarter by Clinton’s varsity boys basketball team allowed visiting Whiteford to surge ahead and finish with a 49-40 Tri-County Conference victory on Friday, Jan. 11, and become the first team to defeat the Redskins.
Clinton held a slim 20-19 lead at the end of two quarters but the Bobcats outscored the Redskins 18-8 in the third quarter to take a 37-28 lead into the fourth.
TJ Baker led Clinton’s offense with 23 points while Grant Clark scored eight points for the Redskins.
Clinton (9-1) followed with a 58-31 win at Michigan Center on Monday, Jan. 14.
Marco Nunzi led the ‘Skins with 17 points, seven steals and five assists while Baker added 14 points, five rebounds and three steals.
