Clinton's varsity boys basketball team records loss

A lackluster third quarter by Clinton’s varsity boys basketball team allowed visiting Whiteford to surge ahead and finish with a 49-40 Tri-County Conference victory on Friday, Jan. 11, and become the first team to defeat the Redskins.Clinton held a slim 20-19 lead at the end of two quarters but the Bobcats outscored the Redskins 18-8 in the third quarter to take a 37-28 lead into the fourth. TJ Baker led Clinton’s offense with 23 points while Grant Clark scored eight points for the Redskins.Clinton (9-1) followed with a 58-31 win at Michigan Center on Monday, Jan. 14.Marco Nunzi led the ‘Skins with 17 points, seven steals and five assists while Baker added 14 points, five rebounds and three steals.
