Community orchestra, chorus, soloists were ‘outstanding’ at TCA

To the Editor,Yesterday afternoon, Sunday, May 4, at the Tecumseh Center for the Arts, my husband and I attended the best concert I’ve been to in a long time, presented by the Tecumseh Pops Orchestra and Community Chorus. It was “An Evening With Rodgers & Hammerstein,” conducted by Dr. James Ball and Mary Hofmeister. Both the chorus and orchestra were outstanding. To make it even more enjoyable, four excellent soloists performed: Tom Hodgman, Clayton Parr, Sarah Nowak, and Mary Hofmeister. What a compliment they were to the total presentation. After the concert, we dined at a wonderful local restaurant, which just goes to show that right here, in Tecumseh and the surrounding area, we have exceptional talent, entertainment, and eateries! I’m proud to say, “Local works for me!”Kristin SchickTecumseh
