Curt Edward Orlowski

Curt Edward Orlowski, age 18, of Tecumseh, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was born November 2, 1995, in Wayne, Mich., to Steven J. and Laura L. (Bloom) Orlowski.Curt graduated from Tecumseh High School in 2013 and was attending Northwood University in Midland, Mich., studying Marketing and Advertising, and had future plans on joining the Navy. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, the Emerging Leaders of Northwood University and DECA. He enjoyed the Northwood Auto Show, he loved music, and was a talented soccer player with TASC and Tecumseh High School. Curt was a very giving and compassionate young man. His final act of giving was the donation of his organs and tissue to the Gift of Life Michigan. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.In addition to his parents, Curt is survived by his older loving sisters, Erin A. Orlowski and Nina M. Orlowski both of Tecumseh; his paternal grandmother, LouAnn Orlowski of Maryville, Tenn.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Theresa Bloom and paternal grandfather, Edward Orlowski.The Funeral Liturgy for Curt was offered on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Reverend Dan Wheeler officiating. Christian burial followed in Brookside Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Visitation was also held on Monday from 1-7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, where a Vigil Prayer Service was held at 7:30 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. where a family prayer service was held at 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral liturgy at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A luncheon was served following the funeral at St. Elizabeth Parish Hall.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. The family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to the “Curt Orlowski Memorial Fund” at First Federal Bank. Funds will be used for college scholarships for future Tecumseh High School graduates and donations can also be given to Gift of Life Michigan. Donations can be made at any First Federal Bank branch office. Envelopes are also available at Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
