Daniel B. Bush

Daniel B. Bush, age 94, of Tecumseh, passed away on September 19, 2015, at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He was born on July 16, 1921, to Harry W. and Ida P. (Hossler) Bush in Dellroy, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Edna Reed on May 24, 1947, and they enjoyed 64 years together before her death in 2011.In 1943 he served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from Tecumseh Products in 1986 after 44 years. He was a competitive archer and was an avid sports fan who loved watching sports of all kinds. Dan enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife on many “Ollie Group” adventures. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.Dan is survived by his children: Linda (John) Knape of Clinton, Larry Bush of Tecumseh, Lisa (Mike) Hall of Adrian and twins Terry Bush of Tecumseh and Col. Garry (Terri) Bush of Greenwood, Ind.; his grandchildren: Ryan (Wendy) Knape, Cory (Lindsay) Knape, Kayla, Josh, and Austin Hall, Andrea and Daniel (Brittany) Bush; great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Kelsey and Cooper Knape, and his dog Presley. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Edna, three brothers and three sisters. Visitation for Dan will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes from 4-8 p.m. Celebration of Life will be Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at the Covenant Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Tecumseh, with Pastor Richard Mortimer officiating at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Post No. 34 and VFW Post No. 4187.
