David A. Linden, Sr

David A. Linden, Sr., age 70, of Clinton, passed away March 19, 2013.David was born Oct. 26, 1942 in Tecumseh, Mich., the son of James and Dorothy (Gebauer) Linden. On Dec. 7, 1963 he married Barbara Rufner in Tecumseh and she survives. David retired from Ford Motor Company, Saline Plant with over 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army. David was an avid classic car car enthusiast and participated in several car shows. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing alongside his brothers and nephews.In addition to his wife Barbara, David is survived by his children, Kathy (Steven) Sailus of Tecumseh, Kay (Sean) McPhillips of Temperance, and David Linden, Jr. of Clinton; 11 grandchildren, Brianna, Christopher (Jennifer), Sean, Kirsten, Sarah, Katrina, Casandra, Melissa, Brenden, and Katelyn; sister, Margie (Earl) Bilby of Clinton; brothers, Donald (Mary) of Conklin, Mich.; Dean (Diane) of Onsted, and Dennis of Adrian and many adoring nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. John Trimble officiating. Interment followed at Ridgeway Cemetery.Visitation was held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.Memorial contribution may be directed to Grace Point Evangelical Free Church or the Alzheimers Association.
