Deb Langmeyer leaving Tecumseh Public Schools effective March 6

Students at Sutton Elementary School received a letter from Tecumseh Public Schools (TPS) Supt. Kelly Coffin announcing that their school’s principal, Debra Langmeyer, would be leaving the district. The letter noted that Langmeyer’s last day in the building would be Thursday, March 6.Langmeyer has worked in the field of education for 35 years with 23 years of service at TPS. She began her work there in November of 1991 as the Director of State and Federal Programs located at Tipton Elementary School. During the 1991-1992 school year, Langmeyer was hired as the principal at Sutton Elementary.Coffin said that the district would, at some point, hire a new principal for the post at Sutton Elementary. In the meantime, Coffin and her staff are working to identify someone to cover the day-to-day operations for the remainder of this school year.“We appreciate all of her service to this district,” said Coffin. “She put her heart and soul into her work, and we will never forget that. We really appreciate all those years of service, and we wish her all the best.”
