Dennis Westfall Reeve
Dennis Westfall Reeve, age 84, of Clinton passed away Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 at the Evangelical Home in Saline. He was born at home on January 23, 1935 in Findlay, Ohio, the son of the late Bernard Westfall and Erma (Swihart) Reeve. On September 12, 1964 in Fostoria, Ohio he married Joanne Welsh and they have shared 55 years together.
Dennis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in mechanical engineering and went on to work at Ford Motor Company in Saline, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Clinton United Church of Christ and the Clinton Rotary Club. Dennis enjoyed being outside spending time gardening and was also interested in solar powered homes.
Along with his wife, Joanne, he is survived by his children, Donovan (Susan Sanch) Reeve of Michigan, Dana Kathryn Branson of North Carolina and Jennifer Ellen Reeve of California; a sister Carol (Aaron) Wenger of Minnesota; five grandchildren, Christian, Douglas, Dalton, Dakota and Darian; and two great-grandchildren, Dean and Vincent.
In accordance with Dennis’ wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements are under the care of the Clinton Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
