Diane C. Brown

God came in and lifted Diane up and took her home at the age of 79 years old. She was born in Springfield, Michigan on August 20, 1933 to Florence and Lawrence Viles.Diane graduated from Dundee High School in 1951 and also married the love of her life that year, Chuck. She was a very spiritual woman with a strong faith and was a co-founding member of the Monroe Christian Church where she was very active for many years. She was formerly employed by the Tresco Company and was the owner and operator of the former Log Cabin Laundromat. Diane had a wonderful spirit for life. She was notorious for her loving hugs and ability to become fast friends with anyone that she encountered. Despite many health issues throughout the years, she always had a smile on her face. She loved people and especially adored her husband, children, and grandchildren. She found tremendous enjoyment out of all of God’s creatures, particularly those that came visiting in her back yard. She will be remembered by many for the hundreds of thoughtful cards that she sent that always included a stick of gum. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Clifford “Chuck” Brown; children, Suzi (Gary) Sahadi, Jim (Terri) Brown of Denton, Texas, Mark Brown; grandchildren, Kyle and Logan, Jeremiah, Jordan, Cassidy, Jacob and Miranda; siblings Shirley Lamkin and Ellen Simon. She was preceded in death by her siblings Mary Tuckey-Caldwell, Lawrence Viles II and Norman Viles.Diane’s family wishes to extend special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staffs of The Cleveland Clinic, Flower Hospital, and Ebeid Hospice for the care and compassion that she has received. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Monroe Christian Church, 14905 S. Telegraph Rd. Monroe, MI 48161.
