Director gives kudos to Friends of Tecumseh District Library

To the Editor,October 19-25, 2014, is the ninth annual celebration of National Friends of Libraries week making it a good time to publicly thank the Friends of the Tecumseh District Library who contribute so much of their time and expertise to significantly enhance our services. Our Friends group began before we even became a district library in 2003. Over the years they have donated thousands of dollars to cover the costs of programming, special collections, and equipment. In fact, the Friends ushered our library into the age of audio books by purchasing our first collection of classic books on compact discs.I know that the Tecumseh District Library is a source of pride for our community. Our Friends group is a source of pride as well. I hope this week everyone will call the library to find out how they can join and support this outstanding group.S.
