Donald Dale Rapp

Donald Dale Rapp, age 93, of Tecumseh, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at MagnumCare of Adrian. He was born in Cook Co., Illinois on December 10, 1923, a son of the late Preston J. and Gladys Huggett Rapp. On May 26, 1945 Donald married Julia Beal in Jackson, Mich., and they shared 52 years together until her death in 1997.  Donald was a member of First United Methodist Church in Saline, Mich. During WWII he served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean on the USS Dearborn. Donald was a member of the VFW in Nashville, Mich., a Boy Scout Leader in Saline and former President of the Saline Jaycees.

Donald is survived by his children, Michael (Susan) Rapp of Stevensville, Mich., Patricia (Dale) Wilson of Tecumseh, Mich., and Diana (William David) Clark of Cheyenne, Wyo.; two brothers, Darrel (Treva) Rapp and Keith Rapp, both of Marshall, Mich.; two sisters, June (Calvert) Allen of Lodi, Utah and Darlene (Ken) Dally of Marshall, Mich.; six grandchildren, Benjamin (Becky) Rapp, Emily (Rodney) Eddy, Amanda (Zach) Zukousky, Russell (Jennifer) Wilson, Serena (Chris) Tyner and Kaitlin (Tony) Tillery and 14 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Mich., on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy.
