Donna Marie Root

Donna Marie Root, age 52, of Britton died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born June 18, 1960, in New York City to Arnold and Dea (Bernarducci) Riso. On April 9, 1988 in Dearborn, she married James Martin Root, and he survives. Donna was a graduate of the Paier School of Art. She worked with her husband in their business, Root Builders. Donna’s main focus was her children's school activities and sports including her children's friends, Donna loved it all. Donna adored her home, family and her many friends.In addition to her husband James, she is survived by two terrific children, A.J. and Samantha; and one sister, Christine Riso of Chicago, Ill. Donna leaves behind many family and friends including many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Memorial service for Donna will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh.Condolences may be sent to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be to the American Cancer Society for Melanoma Research or Hospice of Lenawee. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
