Dorothy Elizabeth Riddle

Dorothy Elizabeth Riddle, age 91, of Tecumseh died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility.  She was born August 8, 1926 in Lisbon, ND, the daughter of the late Eli and Louise (Erstad) Smerdahl.  On January 19, 1957 in Allen Park she married Herbert M. Riddle, they shared 43 years together before he died on March 12, 2000.

Dorothy was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Tecumseh.  She loved going to the Tecumseh Senior Center to play cards and spending time socializing with everyone there.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Vicki Riddle of Tecumseh and Diane Wrenn of Westland; six grandchildren, Jason (Stacey) Foss of Tecumseh, Brian (Carrie) Foss of Tecumseh, Kelly (Rich) Pschirrer of New Glouester, ME, Stacey (Eric) Jenks of Dearborn, Danielle Wrenn of Canton, and Chelsea (Ben) Wrenn of Livonia; eight great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tyler, Katy, Madison, Riley, Jadyn, Harlow and Sloane.  In addition to her parents and husband Herbert, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Josephine Patterson, Helen Miller and Marian Lyman and a son-in-law, Barry Wrenn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with Pastor Gordon Peterson officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to Tecumseh Senior Center and Hospice of Lenawee.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com
