Dorothy J. Skampo
Dorothy J. Skampo, age 81, of Tecumseh, died October 5, 2018, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
She was born December 31, in Dundee, to William and Daisy (Flasher) Peters. On August 2, 1952, in Romulus Township, she married Richard Skampo and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2011.
Dorothy attended Bethel Baptist Church of Britton. She had worked for DST in Clinton until her retirement in 1981. She loved to read, bowl and spend time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter, Dena (David) Dickerson of Tecumseh; one daughter-in-law, Suzan Skampo of Tecumseh; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Richard, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Willis Gonyon, Keith Gonyon and Clarence Peters; one sister, Lillian Brennan; one son, William Skampo, and one grandson, Justin Dickerson.
Visitation for Dorothy will be on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh, from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will then follow at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery.
