Dr. Kirk J. Stubbs
Dr. Kirk James Stubbs of Britton, Mich. passed away on September 15. He was the loving husband of Jamie Joi-Ann Stubbs and a devoted stepfather to Brooke Morgan Ayers, Reagan Celine Ayers and Clayton Cole Ayers. He was care-giver, a healer and a physician to his community. He loved spending time at home with his family, landscaping and nurturing the home that he and his wife, Jamie, had made together.
Kirk was the son of Dr. Bruce T. Stubbs and MaryPaul Stubbs of Ann Arbor, Mich. He was the brother of Bruce Stubbs Jr., Timothy Stubbs and Colleen Morche. Kirk was an alumni of Fr. Gabriel Richard High School and the University of Michigan.
Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 21 in Tecumseh, Mich. A viewing will be held Friday morning at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at 313 W. Pottawatamie St. Following the viewing there will be a service at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 506 N. Union at 1 p.m. . The burial will be at Brookside Cemetery located directly across the street and a reception will follow back at St. Elizabeth’s Hall for all family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Kirk’s honor to the Parkinson’s Foundation at parkinson.org. Condolences may be offered to the family at handlerfuneralhomes.com.
