Dwight Boozer

Dwight Boozer, age 72 of Tecumseh, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born June 9, 1945 in Section, Ala., to Clarence and Bertha (Pendergrass) Boozer. He married Phyllis Suzanne Hite on December 8, 1984 in Tecumseh.

Dwight retired from Ford Motor Company in Rawsonville after 30 years. He loved to be outdoors hunting and fishing. Dwight was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by those who love him.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Suzie; a son, Mark Spivey of Bridgewater; a daughter, Cindy (Ed) Zietlow of Tecumseh; brothers, Junior, Earl, David and Robbie Boozer; a sister, Elizabeth Deyo; four grandchildren, Corey and Nicole Spivey, Travis (Stephanie) Zietlow and Amber Zietlow; six great-grandchildren, Hailey, Tayton, Gage, Natalie, Hunter and Emmett. He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Never one to seek attention Dwight requested no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017 at 4 p.m. at his residence.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee or Lenawee County Humane Society.
