Elaine Jean Twork

Age 69, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, Oct. 14, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a long illness. She was born on February 8, 1947 to Howard and Margaret (Veres) Haft in Saline, Mich. On September 19, 1970, she married Larry Twork at St. Paul Lutheran Church Milan, Mich. She had served her Lord as a Sunday school teacher for many years, sang and played hand bells in church choirs. She also was a member of Christ Our King Lutheran Church in Saline. Mrs. Twork was a very loving wife and mother who enjoyed working in her garden and home cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Larry, and daughter, Joanne Twork of Tecumseh; a brother, Donald Haft, of Milan, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation was held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Monday, Oct. 17, from 2-8 p.m. The funeral service was held at Christ Our King Lutheran Church, Saline, on Tuesday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Thomas Schroeder officiating. Visitation began at 10 a.m. Burial followed at Marble Park Cemetery, Milan.
