Elisabeth (Liz) Harris

Elisabeth (Liz) Harris, age 80, of Tecumseh, died March 17, 2019, at Cambrian Assisted Living.

She was born August 30, 1938, in Adrian to Harold J. and Helena G. (Minster) Adams. On December 4, 1971, she married Donald J. Harris and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2007. Liz was a
graduate of Deerfield High School and the Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as an RN at Bixby Medical Center for 16 years and retired in November of 1999. She was a member of
the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Britton and served as the congregational secretary for 13 years, sang in the choir and served on many of the church boards.

Liz is survived by her two daughters, Barbara A. Ketchum and Joyce L. Martin; three sons, Douglas A. Ketchum, Steven M.  Harris, and Keith (Peggy) Harris; two brothers, Thomas A. Adams and
James R. Adams; six grandchildren, Hailey Ketchum, Sheila (James) Doeden, Jeff Harris, Spencer Martin, Jennifer (Marc) Stouffer, Kristen Martin; and four great-grandchildren, Alexandria (Jason)
Collins,  Skylar (Megan)  Doeden, Samantha Stouffer  and Marc Stouffer III; and two great-great-grandchildren, Gabe and Wyatt. In addition to her husband, Donald, she was preceded in death by
her parents, two brothers, Douglas and Paul, a sister, Martha Adams in infancy, a nephew, Mark Adams, daughter in law Jill Harris, and son in law, Jim Martin.

Visitation for Liz will be held on Thursday, March 21, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m.  at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Additional visitation will be held Friday, March 22 from 11 a.m. until
the Celebration of Life service at 12 p.m. at   he Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Britton with Pastor David McCarty  officiating. Cremation will follow the service and burial of cremains will take place at
a later date at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.  Envelopes are available at Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh. The family would like to
especially thank Cambrian Living and Hospice of Lenawee for their love and care.
