Elizabeth Elvira Condit

Elizabeth Elvira Condit, age 97 of Tecumseh, passed away on January 22, 2015, at Tecumseh Place II under the loving care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born on April 10, 1917, in Raisin Township, the daughter of Walter and Josephine (Bohlka) Prielipp. Elizabeth married William Condit on April 10, 1939, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2004.Elizabeth was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palmyra. Elizabeth was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining her family and was the host to many of their get togethers. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading, crocheting and shopping. Her greatest joy was the time that she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Karen (Pat) Brower of Ypsilanti; brother Marvin (Barbara) Prielipp of Deerfield; sisters Delores Bordine of Tecumseh and Frances Bidle of Riverview, Fla.; four grandchildren, J. Todd Danforth, Michele Strack, Gregory Brower and Kristen Rincher; nine great-grandchildren, Travis and Dillon Danforth; Devan, Kelsey and Jordyn Strack; Robert and Jenna Brower; and Nyah and Mekhi Rincher.Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, daughter Kathleen, three brothers and one sister. Visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Leking officiating, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Elizabeth’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
