Elizabeth Palmer Gregg

Elizabeth Palmer Gregg, of Tecumseh, passed away on May 11, 2015. She was born to Floyd and Harlie Palmer on January 15, 1917, in Mosherville, Mich. After graduating from Jonesville High School, she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Michigan Normal College, now Eastern Michigan University, and Master’s of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan. She taught in the public schools of Michigan, the Standish Public Schools and County Normal; was the Art Supervisor of the Grade Schools and Junior High students in the Adrian and Wayne Westland Schools and the Art Department of Eastern Michigan University.Elizabeth was married to Lt. Ralph E. Gregg of Adrian in 1942 at the First Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City by Rev. Harold Blake Walker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti. Elizabeth and Ralph moved to Tecumseh from Ypsilanti in 1976.She leaves three sons: Mark (Martha Killiane) of Dexter, Tim (Carol Jenner) of Olympia, Wash., and John (Peggy Parkman) of Bottineau, N.D. She is also survived by three granddaughters, one grandson and two great-grandsons.The family wishes to express a special thank you to Hospice of Lenawee, Handler Funeral Homes for the assistance and arrangements and to the staff of the Fieldstone at Tecumseh Place.
