Elnora M. “Tiny” Reese

Elnora M. “Tiny” Reese, age 88 of Britton, passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013. She was born May 16, 1925 in Tecumseh, the daughter of George and Mamie (Biggins) Poley. She married Dale Reese on September 14, 1946. Sadly he preceded her in death on January 1, 1985.Elnora liked to travel and loved watching her “soaps.” She loved to read and liked to write and make notes for everyone. She enjoyed baking cookies, pies, and preparing big dinners for her family. She loved taking care of her family, especially her son Terry. Her family was her passion and will be missed by all those who knew her. Elnora is survived by her sons Terry and Alan (Marie) Reese both of Britton; daughters Carol (Vaughn) O’laughlin of New Boston, Vikki Dotson of Tecumseh, and Nancy (Greg) Purtzenski of Clinton; her brother Herbert (Ruth) Poley of Adrian; and sister Kate Hoag of Adrian; grandchildren Cindy (Ruben) Rosas, Jeffrey Dotson, Mystique Dotson, Kevin Purtzenski, and Natasha Dotson; and three great grandchildren Sebastian, Bryana, and Eleese Rosas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother and two sisters.Visitation for Elnora was at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19, at the funeral home with Ramon Rosas officiating. Visitation will also be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of services. Burial will follow at Macon Cemetery. Condolences may be offered to the family by visiting www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
