Errol Thomas Smith

Errol Thomas Smith, age 39, of Canton, Mich., formerly of Tecumseh, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at his home. He was born June 12, 1978 in Ypsilanti, Mich., a son of John (Rose) Smith of Belleville, Mich., and Char (Brian) Chenoweth of Tipton, Mich.

Errol enjoyed hunting, being an amateur entomologist, toy figurine collecting and especially fish where he always had an aquarium, and his love for his cats.

Along with his parents, Errol is survived by his siblings, Amanda (Jason) Crawford of Adrian, MI, Kelsey Otto of Ypsilanti, MI, Dan (Amy) Chenoweth of White Lake, MI, Doug (Kim) Chenoweth of Northville, MI and Katie (Andy Stanley) Chenoweth of Burlington, NC; grandparents, Charlie and Delora Bishop of Vina, AL; nieces and nephews, Jaslon and Kaia Crawford, Maggie and Tess Chenoweth, Ben, Bo and Rex Chenoweth and Drew and Grant Shaw and Gabrielle Chenoweth and a special friend, David Ross of Canton, Mich. He was preceded in death by grandparents, James and Elizabeth Smith.

A celebration of life will take place on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes with visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to any local Humane Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
