Esperanza Garcia

Esperanza “Hope” Garcia, age 79, of Adrian, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Hospice of Lenawee’s Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 11, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas, to Rufugio and Thomasa (Bill) DeLaCruz. On July 19, 1950, in Adrian, she married Francisco Garcia and he precedes her in death. Hope was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.Hope is survived by two sons, Francisco “Frankie” (Sue Kotts) Garcia of Adrian and Jerry (Sarah) Garcia of Adrian; two sisters, her twin, Olivia (Estanislado) Regalado of Rosenburg, Texas and Rosa Garcia of Adrian; one brother, John (Helen) DeLaCruz of Adrian; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; eight brothers and sisters and a grandson.The Funeral Liturgy will be offered Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Shaun Lowery presiding. Cremation will follow the service with burial of cremains on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian where a Vigil Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 a.m. prior to the funeral liturgy. Condolences may be sent to the family at Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lenawee’s Hospice Home. Envelopes are available at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
