She was born January 4, 1907 in River Rouge, Michigan to Edward and Elizabeth Meyers. The family moved to Clinton, Mich., in 1921.She claims no fame but needs to name the loved ones she is leaving: three children, Robert and Trudy Schmidt of Ahrweiler, Germany, William T. Schmidt of Birmingham, Mich., and Ellen (Richard) O’Donnell Anderson of Nashville, Tenn., four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many nieces (including Jeannie Rayne of Clinton) and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years, four sisters and three brothers, one son-in-law and two daughter-in-laws.The date for a celebration of life will be scheduled for early spring. Memorial contributions may be made in Esther’s honor to Hospice of Lenawee or the Salvation Army. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.handlerfuneralhomes.com.
