Eunice Jane Bird

Eunice Jane Bird, age, 76 of Adrian went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving husband and family on Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was born August 30, 1936 in Dundee to Homer and Doris (Barnes) Haracourt. On May 11, 1957 in Tecumseh, Eunice married Robert Bird and he survives. Eunice was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Adrian. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, sewing, reading, doing puzzles and country music. She also enjoyed art that was done by local artists. She was known for collecting clowns and nutcrackers. Eunice’s greatest love was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and other family members. She loved to travel, especially to visit family.In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by two sons, Dale (Mai) Bird of Houston, Texas and Lawrence Bird of Oregon; daughter, Karen Bird of Sweet Home, Oregon; brothers, Cecil Marsh of Riga, Herb Marsh of Largo, Florida, Homer Haracourt, Jr. of Columbus, Georgia, and Thomas (Annette) Buck of Sylvania, Ohio; sisters, Mary Renner of Tecumseh and Janet (Del) Hooper of Bangor, Michigan; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Robert and sisters, Marjorie and Elizabeth.Funeral services for Eunice will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church with Fr. Mark Hastings and her nephew Pastor Gary Rader officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Adrian Anderson Funeral Home.
