Events a reminder that Tecumseh is ‘a special place’ to be

To the Editor,Wow! I know that isn’t the most exciting word in the English language to explain something, but if you were not at the Tecumseh Pops Orchestra and Community Chorus program on Sunday night, you missed it! Everyone that was there couldn’t believe that these are our local folks, sounding like the best of the best from New York City. We didn’t want the program to end.I could name names, but how could I list everyone that was on the stage. It was a special group and evening. They will do it again the first Sunday in December and again the first Sunday in May, so mark your calendar.Another thank you is to the Friends of the Tecumseh Community Pool. Last Thursday they put on a special program to open up the time capsule that was placed in the foundation of the pool 25 years ago. Before the program started everyone was saying, “Wonder what’s in there?” Well, we found pictures of people and of the construction of the building in process… and even the original blueprint along with pins that were worn to support the pool. By the way, did you know that “Real Athletes Don’t wear Shoes?”I was so thrilled how the pool looked. It was clean and well kept up. (Just like it was brand new) and there was a special area for the “Shark Fans.”Anyhow! Thanks for letting me vent, and in case you didn’t know… Tecumseh is a special place and town to live in.Sue GrossTecumseh
